Camp Oven Exploration can provide nearly all of the equipment required for remote area work. The equipment is added to a hire vehicle, ideally a Landcruiser trayback with dual fuel tanks. A hire satellite phone is the only necessary additions to the following list of equipment:


  • Garmin InReach Emergency and Tracking Beacon
  • 2 x 200 litre water drums
  • Ratchet-type tie downs, rope, occy straps
  • Shade cloth for radiator
  • Kangaroo jack, jack-plank, shovel, axe, snatch-strap
  • Large Engel refrigerator, Heavy duty second battery, battery box, isolator set-up
  • 16 ply heavy duty off road tyres
  • Tyre repair gear including air compressor, tyre levers, bead breaker, patches, glue, primer, pressure gauge, spare tubes, rougher tool, roller, large tool kit
  • Gloves
  • Torch
  • Door mat and canvas bag shower
  • Cable ties
  • Knife
  • Jumper leads
  • Basins
  • Chairs and large table
  • 12 Volt light
  • Camp oven
  • BBQ plate
  • Billies
  • Metal buckets to heat water on fire
  • Cooking and eating utensils in appropriate tucker box
  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • GPS
  • First aid kit with large compression bandage
  • Matches and/or lighter (more than one fire source)
  • Mosquito Net
